I’ve been asked this question so many times… “What gear do you use to make videos?” So here you go… this is all the gear I use to record, edit and upload YouTube videos, everything I use to study and pass IT certifications…. plus some other gadgets I’ve picked up along the way!
CAMERA & RECORDING GEAR FOR YOUTUBE
Canon Mirrorless Camera
I absolutely love this camera, I’ve made all my YouTube videos using it!
Canon Ultrawide lense
I used a zoom lens for months until I got this lightweight ultrawide lens.
Canon Zoom lens
The original zoom lens, I purchased this along with my Camera. Great for photography!
Camera Mounted Mic
The camera’s built-in audio is not great for videos… this is an amazing upgrade!
Desk mounted Mic
First Mic, Arm and shock mount I bought for creating videos.
Ultra-low profile mic arm
I wanted to move the mic closer to my mouth, this arm is perfect.
Key Light
When you get serious about creating videos, you need a key light
60″ Softbox
You’ll need a decent-sized softbox to diffuse and soften the harshness of the key light.
Key Light stand
Sturdy light stand to hold the key light and softbox.
Small RGB LED Light
Small and simple RBG lights for dynamic backgrounds
RBG LED Light
I needed a decent RGB LED light to remove the shadow from one side of my face.

These come in so handy for mounting my RGB lights, camera etc
Camera Tripod
Used for photography or when I need to record away from my desk.
Desk Camera Mount
I mount my camera to the desk, which makes things easier to get set up for recording.

Canon Batteries
Lots of spare batteries, these things are always charged and ready to go.
Teleprompter
Handy when recording longer scripts, makes the editing process a lot easier!
