Terraform was one the best certifications that I have done, and if you’re in the cloud, network and security business… I recommend you do it too!
Terraform is a really powerful tool that helps you create and manage your infrastructure easily and efficiently. Imagine you’re building a digital playground with different toys – servers, databases, networks, and more. Instead of manually setting up each toy and connecting them, Terraform lets you write down what you want this playground to look like in a code. Then, it basically creates everything exactly as you described.
So, whether you’re setting up a simple website or a complex network, Terraform takes care of the nitty-gritty technical stuff, like creating virtual machines, setting up networks, and connecting everything together. This way, you can focus on the fun part – designing and playing with your digital playground – without getting tangled in the technical details.
Follow episodes 1 and 2 below to write code and deploy some resources to Azure. This is done only using the information from the documentation. You can then build on this to develop much larger deployments.
Follow along, code is available on my Github
Azure provider documentation is available on the Terraform website.
